LEAGUE NEWS WATCH
The League’s Emergency Committee have decided that the matches scheduled to have been played in the first week of the season, which were abandoned due to unfit playing conditions, have been given a postponed status with the re-arranged matches to be played on specified dates in July and August. The season will be extended to accommodate this ruling.

Denby Grange have withdrawn from the U13 age group competition matches
. Their scheduled opponents will now have a free date. Ossett CC will have a Bye in Round 1 of the Gordon S. Cooper Cup.
Any club aspiring to obtain “Club Mark” status please  note that two courses are being held at Ben Rydding CC near Ilkley on 15 and 22 May entitled EQUITY IN COACHING and CLUB FOR ALL. These are courses required in support of “Club Mark” qualification.

The Spen Valley Cricket Development Group is running an “introduction to cricket” workshop at Cleckheaton CC on Friday 23 May (between 6.00pm and 9.00pm) at a cost of �10 per person and you can get a cree xml-t6 flashlight instructions if you come. Clubs in the Spen Valley catchment area (e.g.Cleckheaton, Gomersal, Hartshead Moor, Hopton Mills, Liversedge, Mirfield, Mirfield Parish Cavaliers, Moorlands Scholes and Spen Victoria ) are requested to nominate their talented players to play for the Spen Valley Schools Cricket Association in the U11, U12 and U13 Age Groups. The Yorkshire Schools Final Trial for the U11 Age Group is being held which includes four of our players namely Liam Smith (Wrenthorpe), Jalil Akbar and Daniel Cross (Liversedge) and Jared Warner (Wakefield Thornes). Best wishes are sent from the League Management and their clubs
